| Description | Claremont Estate is a secluded lodge and historic rural homestead situated on a working 1600 acre farm estate and nestled in the foothills of the Waipara Valley. The Lodge offers up to eight guests the chance to experience elegant and spacious country estate living, while still allowing easy access to tourist areas such as Kaikoura, Hanmer Springs, and Christchurch. Claremonts suites and guest rooms are individually themed with sumptuous fabrics, fine antique furnishings, luxurious bathrooms and facilities including a hi-fi system accessed from guest rooms. A new addition to the Estate is a self contained 3 bedroom house, ideal for couples travelling together, or a large family. Guests can choose to experience hosted dining at Claremont Country Estate. Rosie utilises her own farm fresh vegetables and many local delicacies including prime lamb, beef and venison, beautifully complemented by fine New Zealand wines. Also not to be missed is Richards fascinatng 2 hour 4WD scenic adventure, which offers a wonderful insight into the natural, world renowned geological wonders of the Waipara River Valley. |

Additional information
Some of the property features apply to the main lodge only. There is a minimum of a two night stays over Christmas and New Year. A surcharge of NZ$84.00 pp applies for the Christmas period (24 - 26 December) and the New Year (31 December and 1 January). Children under 14 years old are permitted to stay in the cottage only. Check-in: between 3.00pm and 6.00pm unless otherwise arranged. Check-out: by 11.00am unless otherwise arranged. Claremont Country Estate is closed annually between 1st July and 30st September.
