| Description | Greenhill The Lodge is an opulent and tranquil retreat located in the heart of Hawke's Bay wine country, a region with some of the highest sunshine hours in New Zealand. Only Fifteen minutes drive to either Havelock North or Hastings, and a comfortable two hour drive from Taupo and one hour flight from either Auckland or Wellington. A defining moment in the history of Greenhill occurred in 1958 when Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother stayed in the homestead during her tour of New Zealand. Greenhill's modern facilities will ensure you enjoy your stay in privacy and comfort. All guest accommodation is fully air conditioned. Dining facilities are available exclusively to lodge guests. Everything about Greenhill is gracious and majestic, from the wood paneled billiard room to the extraordinary viewing tower. Set amongst 30 acres of picturesque park-like grounds, Greenhill enjoys panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Guest facilities include a swimming pool, spa pool, fully equipped gymnasium, petanque piste, and croquet lawn and helicopter access. The lodge is located within 30 minutes drive of Cape Kidnappers International Golf Course and over forty wineries with cellar door facilities. Other local attractions include: Fly fishing; Cape Kidnappers gannet colony; Napier Art Deco Centre; NZ National Aquarium; Farmers Growers Markets; Authentic Maori Culture, Arts and Crafts; Jet Boating, Horse Trekking and River Kayaking; Legendary Te Mata Peak. Hastings (Bridge Pa) Golf Club is located 7 minutes from the lodge where guests receive complimentary green fees subject to course availability. A minimum 2-night stay applies for the holiday period 15 December - 15 January. As changes to your reservation or cancellations affect us greatly, the following cancellation policy applies: Outside 90 days before arrival; No charge. 90 - 31 days; $250.00 transaction fee. 30 - 14 days; Charge one night. Less than 14 days; Charge for every room night booked. Holiday Season Cancellation Policy (15 December - 15 January): Outside 90 days before arrival; No charge. 90-60 days; One room night charged per room booked. Less than 60 days; Full charge for every night booked. We encourage all valued guests to take travel insurance in the event that circumstances outside of their control cause cancellation of their booking and thus incur a cancellation fee.
