Mt Cook

The Mount Cook and Mackenzie basin regions have been shaped by the giant forces of nature which has left in its wake a trail of lakes and rivers and glaciers&and of course the almighty Mt Cook! Mount Cook is situated in the snow capped Southern Alps and stands at 3,754 metres about sea level. The Tasman Glacier is nestled in amongst these mountains and is 27 kilometres in length - one of the longest glaciers in the world to be found outside the polar regions.

Consequently, cross-country and downhill skiing, guided climbing, hiking, horse riding, camping, golf or mountain biking are just a few of the activity options for those who wish to take in some alpine air and once that is done then you can relax in accommodation ranging from luxury lodges, hotels, farmstays and there is even a no clothes option too!
