Comprehensive Travel Insurance's Inbound Policies are available to all overseas clients and anyone visiting New Zealand and Australia from overseas. While this is a New Zealand Travel Insurance policy it also provides full cover in Australia.

This policy includes higher limits and extended benefits including cover for terrorism and civil unrest in the Pacific Islands.
For those who travel regularly during the year you can purchase a Frequent Flyer policy which covers you for unlimited trips during a 12 month period - each trip is limited to 60 days duration. Essentials A policy ideally suited for the cost conscious traveller who only requires a basic level of benefits.
The Essentials policy is also available for clients who wish to select certain benefits only e.g. Medical Only or Baggage and Money only.
This policy is available for travellers under 70 years of age and does not provide cover for pre-existing medical conditions.
Business: Cover designed exclusively for the specific requirements of the business traveller which includes cover for trade samples and business equipment. There are three premium options to choose depending on your requirements: - Selected Duration- for the duration of your journey
- Frequent Flyer- A 12 month policy to cover unlimited trips during the year limited to 90 days per trip.
- Multi-user- This allows a company to purchase a number of days that they may require for travel, for themselves or company authorised persons, during a 12 month period. An annual declaration is sent at the end of the 12 months to confirm the days used and an adjustment may then be required.

Important Notes
- Pre-existing medical conditions are not covered without prior assessment and approval.
- Expensive items such as jewellery, watches and cameras above the plan item limit can be covered. An applied premium of 1.5% of the total value of item(s) will apply.
- This policy has been specifically designed for overseas residents travelling within New Zealand and Australia. The Travel Insurance allows for up to 6 days in total in transit to and from your country of residence and includes medical repatriation.
- This policy is not available to New Zealand Residents
More Information/FAQs Why Are Comprehensive's Travel Insurance Inbound Policies Cheaper than those in your country?
Because medical and legal costs are cheaper in New Zealand and Australia than in many other countries, these inbound policies do not need to subsidise the higher costs of insurance cover in those countries. Specified Items
You can choose to extend your policy to cover your expensive items such as jewellery, watches, cameras etc. A video camera up to NZ$2,500 is automatically covered and does not need to be specified. For specified items, we will require a copy of your purchase receipt or a valuation certificate dated prior to the start of your policy. Comprehensive Travel Insurance guarantees: to refund the unused portion of your premium if you are not satisfied with this policy and wish to cancel before commencing your travel; to give you immediate assistance for any emergency worldwide; to appoint an experienced New Zealand Doctor to liaise with you and your attending doctors overseas in a serious medical emergency; if you have a claim guarantees to respond to you or send the claim settlement within 7 working days on receipt of all the necessary documents.
