Daily hire rates are:

• calculated per day
• quoted in New Zealand dollars
• subject to change without notice
• subject to a minimum rental period of five days
• subject to Kea Campers terms and conditions (pdf)

• Standard excess insurance cover (excess $5,000)
• Diesel tax
• Second driver fee

• Free transfers between depot and airport or city hotel with the Kea bus

Save money with 'All inclusive rates'

In addition to the actual hire of the motorhome itself, there are several other important items that you will need to purchase that are not included in the daily hire rates. By purchasing the 'All inclusive rates' package you will save money on some of these items.   'All inclusive rates' presently costs NZ$50 per day and is payable in addition to the daily hire rate.   Inclusions Excess Reduction Option 2 - Normally priced at NZ$35 per day (see below for more information on motorhome insurance). Multiple replacements and repairs of windsreens and tyres. 1 x table - Normally priced at NZ$20 per table, per rental. 2 x chairs - Normally priced at NZ$20 per chair, per rental. 1 x child/booster seat - Normally priced at NZ$25 per seat, per rental. This must be pre-booked. 1 x Beach umbrella - Normally priced at NZ$20 per rental.

Insurance

All vehicles are insured for the damage to the vehicle or to the property of a third party. For motorhomes the hirer is responsible for the first NZ$5000 ('the excess') of the cost of the damage to the third party property or rented vehicle. This excess can be reduced by the purchase of Excess Reduction Option 1 or 2.

Additional costs

There are four types of additional costs: additional hire items, fuel, one-way fees, and pick-up/drop-off fees.
 

Additional hire items

It is strongly advised that you pre-book all of the following items for hire. Experience NZ Travel requires that you pay the cost for these items directly to Kea Campers on collection of your vehicle.
 

• Picnic yable - NZ$30 per rental.
• Picnic vhairs - NZ$20 per seat, per rental.
• Picnic umbrella - NZ$20 per rental.
• Child/booster Seat - NZ$50 per seat, per rental. In New Zealand all children under fove years must travel in a child restraint.
• Mobile phone - no rental fee, only phone costs.
• Phone card - on request.

Fuel

Kea Campers diesel fuel tax is included already included in the rates.
 

One-way fees

A one-way rental fee of NZ$300 applies for rentals during October-March. Please note, this fee is waived when the 'All inclusive rates' package is purchased.
 

Pick-up/drop-off fees
