Step 1: Motorhome itinerary planning service or motorhome booking service?
Experience New Zealand Travel offers two levels of service for your motorhome rental booking.
- Motorhome booking service (no fees)
The motorhome booking service (more information below) is designed for those who wish to book a motorhome online and plan their own itinerary. There are no fees associated with this service. Your booking will be made directly with the respective company. One of our experienced team will ensure that your chosen vehicle is suitable for your travel needs.
- Motorhome itinerary planning service (NZ$20 per day)
The motorhome itinerary planning service is designed for those who prefer to have one of our motorhome experts help them to choose a suitable vehicle, and to provide full itinerary planning assistance. This service is the same as our standard itinerary planning service, but at the reduced price of NZ$20 per day (instead of NZ$40 per day).
Other services associated with your New Zealand travel plans can be purchased separately.
Motorhome booking service
With this service you request all the necessary motorhome booking arrangements online. An Experience New Zealand Travel motorhome specialist then checks that your vehicle is suitable based on your requirements. In addition to this you will receive:
- Confirmation of your booking arrangements, along with assistance in booking other services such as domestic flights, ferry, rental car, pre-hire/post-hire accommodation, etc. Miscellaneous charges will apply for these other services.
- An email with all documentation and necessary vouchers: including campervan voucher, vehicle collection instructions, depot location maps, and driving distances.
Miscellaneous fees
- Domestic flight booking fee
Either NZ$20 per person per flight or if you are a family or a group traveling on the same flight, NZ$50 per booking. Generally we are able to obtain cheaper domestic flights than those sold outside of New Zealand. - Coach booking fee
NZ$20 per booking. - Restaurant booking fee
NZ$10 per restaurant reservation - Amendment fee
NZ$20 per amendment when a confirmed booking is changed. - Travel document dispatch
NZ$20 to courier your travel documents to your vehicle pick-up point within New Zealand
NZ$20 to send your travel documents outside of New Zealand via standard post
NZ$60 to courier your travel documents outside of New Zealand.
