| Description | Hambledon, named after the English home village of its original owner, is a unique heritage mansion in central Christchurch. The ambience at Hambledon is warm, welcoming, and refreshingly eclectic for a Victorian mansion. This is due partly to the decor (which features antiques, art, and oriental rugs) and partly to the colourful history that has been embraced by Brent and Claire who delight in sharing their family home with their guests. For example, the main building once contained a number of apartments. Rather than renovate to create extra rooms they opted for apartment-sized suites that make you feel just a little bit special. Tranquil gardens round out this surprising, relaxing haven. |
