Gisborne Activities

Gisborne kicks off every summer with the Gisborne region's annual wine and food festival in October.  This is a major drawcard for tourists to the region as around 20 local wineries showcase their goods and culinary delights are produced by New Zealand's top chefs.  Food, wine and entertainment flourish.
Other Gisborne activities include fishing trips, boat tours, scuba diving and snorkelling, surfing, scenic flights, eco tourism, hot pools and health spas, golf, tramping, hiking and guided walks, Maori culture and history tours and museums and art galleries.
