Coromandel Restaurants

Visitors to the Coromandel region will discover that it is famous for its mussel and oyster farms and other succulent seafood such as fresh crayfish, paua (abalone), oysters, mussels and scallops. Organic food also feature in the Coromandel region - here you will be able to find organic grains, cereals, flour, beans, jams, teas, coffees and fruit juices, sourced from all over New Zealand to give visitors the option of choosing food free from sprays and genetic engineering.
The Coromandel region has a number of fantastic wineries which can be found at the northern end of Cooks Beach and also on the southern shores of Mercury Bay. This region specialises in the production of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc.
