Experience New Zealand Travel Ltd staff
We're real people who really love travel
Experience New Zealand Travel Ltd is a New Zealand based (inbound) travel agency. Our team shares a passion for travel, quality, and our beautiful country, and we're all real people (so you can even talk to us if you wish!). All we ask is that you call us during our office hours, which are listed with our telephone number on the Contact us page.
Denise Campbell - Sales Manager and Travel Consultant
Denise has worked in the travel industry for the past 20 years, both
in New Zealand and in the United Kingdom. Experience New Zealand is
the result of Denise's dream to sell travel products and services that
she can personally recommend. Widely travelled, Denise believes New
Zealand is one of the world's great tourism destinations and she loves
assisting others to enjoy the best of what our beautiful country has
to offer.
Kim Dixson - Assistant Sales Manager and New Zealand Self-Drive Specialist
Kim has been working for Experience New Zealand since 2004. Her knowledge
and experience mean that she doesn't just organise a holiday, she helps to
provide clients with memories that will last a lifetime. Kim enjoys
travelling whenever she can and sharing her experiences with others.
Her interests include anything to do with food and wine (especially
hosting dinner parties!), gardening, socialising with friends and playing
netball, both indoor and outdoor. She has completed an Advanced Diploma
of Tourism and Travel.
Helen Munn - New Zealand Self-Drive Specialist
Helen began working at Experience New Zealand in 2004 on completion
of a double degree from Victoria University of Wellington. In 2007 she
travelled through Europe before working in the tourism industry in Vancouver
for one year. Helen has now returned to her home town of Wellington.
She enjoys enlightening travellers about New Zealand's natural beauty
and scenic spots, incredible accommodation options, and unique once-in-a-lifetime
experiences. Helen enjoys most outdoor sports such as running, biking,
tennis and skiing (the new sport she picked up in Canada!).
Courtney Young - Itinerary Advisor
Courtney began working at Experience New Zealand in September 2009 and
is passionate about the hospitality and tourism industry. After completing
a Certificate in Tourism and a Diploma in Culinary Arts, Courtney worked
as a chef before venturing into retail travel. She hopes to one day travel
the world as a chef, but for now she is proud to live in beautiful New
Zealand. Courtney likes to spend her free time in the outdoors trail
riding on her motorbike and of course cooking!
Jayme Dixon - Itinerary Advisor
Having recently returned to the tourism industry, Jayme worked as an inbound tour operator for three years. During that time she enjoyed the aspect of creating a 'dream holiday' for her clients. Because she couldn't let go her enthusiasm for New Zealand and the travel industry she returns to the industry ready to pick up where she left off and excited to meet new people. Jayme has an interest in clothing design and dance and is also a voracious reader.
Simon Hertnon - Experience Travel Champion
Simon is Denise Campbell's brother and one of the three founders of Experience Travel. A writer and philosopher as well as an experienced businessman, Simon believes that travel is one of the great human endeavours. Done with wisdom, passion, and good planning, travel leads to shared joys and understanding. Travellers end up better appreciating their destinations, their home environments, or both, and society becomes a little wiser, safer, and more colourful. Simon's job is to organically grow Experience Travel. The opening of the Experience Australia agency is a significant step in what is likely to be a lifelong project. Simon is also passionate about sustainability and, if there is a way to make travel truly sustainable (not merely less unsustainable), he says he'll find it.
Nobu Takagi - Webmaster
For ten years prior to becoming Webmaster for Southern Travel Holdings (the parent company of Experience Travel), Nobu worked in Auckland and Queenstown as both tour guide and inbound travel agent for Southern TravelNet.
Leanne Duffield - on sabbatical
Leanne has worked for Experience New Zealand from 2007-2010. She is currently on sabbatical, travelling the world and gaining international travel industry experience. Leanne studied
Tourism at Otago University. Leanne loves to travel within New Zealand, her
favourite place being the Marlborough Sounds, where she enjoys fishing
and canoeing. She is passionate about New Zealand and is a proud Kiwi.
